Eizmoos
The ground takes its name from the lane it sits on: Eizmoosweg, in Cham, canton Zug. Nothing grander than that — the street gave the district its name, the district gave the ground its own, and it has been Eizmoos since it opened in 1984.
The surface is the part of Eizmoos with a story. For thirteen years, from 2010 to 2023, Cham played on an artificial pitch. It went out over the close season before 2023/24, and by January 2024 the switch back to natural grass was complete.
The other change came at the start of the 2010/11 season, when a new covered stand went up. The value of it was as much what went underneath as what went above: new dressing rooms opened beneath the terracing, tucked into the structure rather than housed in a separate block.
Capacity is the figure that will not sit still. The commonly cited number is 1,800.
