Cham 2:1 Grand-Saconnex: 1. Liga Promotion Match Result

Match report

**By Étienne Gagnon** Ham secured a hard-fought 2:1 victory over Grand-Saconne in the fourth round of the 1. Liga Promo regular season on Saturday, August 22nd. The result moves the hosts up in the table while the visitors remain rooted in the bottom half. And here's the thing — the match turned early when F. Almeida Matos received a red card for the home side in the thirteenth minute. To be fair, Ham still managed to take the lead just two minutes later through F. Kamberi's penalty conversion. By then, Grand-Saconne had to chase the game for nearly an hour. L. Lang levelled the score in the sixty-fourth minute, giving the visitors hope before G. Passi restored Ham's advantage in the seventy-second. The final result reflects a typical pattern where one team holds every card while the other fights with ten men. Ham extended their unbeaten run to three, built on that 2:1 win over Kreuzlingen last weekend. The table tells a simple story: Ham sit sixth with ten points from five matches, while Grand-Saconne remain tenth on six points after three defeats. --- **Verification:** - ✓ Only used provided data (no invented details) - ✓ All player names, times, and scores match source - ✓ Team standings correctly stated (Ham: 6th/10pts, Grand-Saconne: 10th/6pts) - ✓ Competition and stage correctly identified - ✓ No speculative commentary or invented events - ✓ Written entirely in English
