Estadio Diaguita
The Instituto Nacional de Deportes proposed Estadio Diaguita in 2017, the Ovalle mayor's office approved it without public consultation, and the stadium demolished in 2009 had been through three names of its own — Estadio Municipal de Ovalle, Estadio Fiscal de Ovalle and Estadio Willy González.
When the 2018 Copa América Femenina drew up its list of venues, Ovalle was left off it because of the condition of the grass. The surface has been worked on since: in May 2024 the pitch was reseeded with Ray Grass to improve drainage.
Provincial Ovalle plays in the Segunda División Profesional and has brought Copa Chile ties here; CSD Ovalle sits in Tercera División B. Club de Deportes Ovalle had not entered a competition since 2016, and registered for Tercera División B for the 2025 season.
On 17 November 2019 it staged the free Fun Fest IND, with singers from the television show «Rojo».
