Estadio La Quema
Acassuso is not a name that carries far beyond San Isidro, and neither does its ground. Estadio La Quema sits on Avenida Santa Rita in Boulogne Sur Mer, a stadium built for a club rather than a city, and it shows: nothing about the place suggests it was ever meant to hold more than a neighbourhood's worth of people.
The land came to the club in 1977 on a temporary lease, and what stands now took six years to finish, opening on 12 March 1983. That gap between the first agreement and the first match says something about how the ground was built — not commissioned in one stroke, but pieced together over time by a club with modest means, which is why it still holds only 1,500 spectators.
The pitch is natural grass, kept under floodlights for the evening fixtures that a ground this size relies on to fill out its fixture list. There is no running track, no second tier, nothing that separates the stands from the game itself — La Quema is close-in football, built at the scale Acassuso has always played at.
