Estadio Mansiche
Formerly: Estadio Modelo de Trujillo
The stadium takes its name from the district around it — Мансиче, on the avenue of the same name. That name arrived later. Ground was broken on 13 May 1944 under the working title Estadio Modelo de Trujillo , the "model stadium", and the building was finished in July 1946. The official opening followed on 12 October that year, during the presidency of Хосе Луис Бустаманте-и-Риверо.
Эстуардо Мелендес Маккиавелло, a Трухильо sportsman, drove the project through from proposal to completion. No architect and no contractor is recorded alongside him — the name attached to the building is his, and it is the only one.
