Stadium
Estadio Omar Higinio Sperdutti
Formerly: unknown
Deportivo Maipú play in a stadium older than the club's professional history in Mendoza football, opened on 8 March 1932, decades before the province had a permanent side in the national divisions. The naming came much later: on 10 March 2007, the same day the club switched on floodlights for the first time, the ground was renamed after Omar Higinio Sperdutti. What it was called before that has gone unrecorded.
It sits at the corner of Vergara and Mercedes Tomasa de San Martín, holds around 8,000 on a natural grass pitch, and remains the only senior football venue of note in Maipú, a department more readily associated with Mendoza's wine country than with its football map.
