Estádio Serra do Lago The pitch is natural grass.

The stadium was built in 1992. Floodlights were bolted onto the roof a year later, yet the structure remains largely unchanged. The grandstands hold the lowest section, the covered tribune the highest, and between them sits the open-air general admission area where the noise gathers. The seating is blue and grey, faded by the sun, and the air smells of damp earth and old paint.

It is the home of Luziânia Esporte Clube, a side that plays in the Campeonato Brasiliense, but the ground has also hosted visitors from Real Brasília Futebol Clube. In 2020, Real Brasília came here for a match and ran out of legs against a local team, losing 4–0. Two years earlier, they drew 2–2 with Paracatu in a game that mattered more than the result would suggest. The stadium is not regularized for official fixtures, so these matches happen on borrowed time, played on a surface that the local football association says is not fit for purpose.

The roof is open at one end, letting the wind sweep through the concrete pillars. There is no screen, no advertising boards, just the bare structure and the crowd below. The road outside is busy, cars passing by the fence, but inside the ground the world is smaller. The stands are quiet when no one is watching, but when the teams go out, the grandstands fill up, and the noise carries across the pitch.
