GREVAL

Gabriel Pae Dias came through the youth ranks at Valparaíso de Goiás before Atlético-GO signed him and sent him on loan to Cruzeiro; Murilo left the same academy for Coritiba, and Gustavo Pingo went on to Atlético-MG.

Grêmio Esportivo Valparaíso came together on 13 December 1992. It later went 21 years without registering for competition, and only returned in 2022, starting back in the Segunda Divisão of the Campeonato Brasiliense. Since then it has stayed there, finishing between sixth and ninth in 2023, 2024 and 2025.

The nickname Canarinho do Entorno comes from the yellow of the away kit, worn alongside the blue GREVAL uses at home. On the pitch, the closest thing to fixed rivals are Luziânia and Sobradinho, both clubs from the same satellite-city belt. The one trophy in the cabinet is the Taça Brasília de Juniores, taken in 2021, a junior title rather than a senior one.

GREVAL has no ground of its own in Valparaíso de Goiás. Matches have been staged at Estádio Salvador Amado in Cristalina, at the Rorizão in Samambaia, which holds around 6,000, and more recently at Estádio Luiz Alfredo in Novo Gama — a club still travelling for every home game it plays.
