Georgi Asparuhov
` и ` `, без заголовков и списков, ~260 слов. Ask a Levski fan what the stadium is called and the answer is Georgi Asparuhov.
Levski supporters raised the money to build it between 1960 and 1963, and architect Lazar Parashkevanov gave them a stadium that opened on 10 March 1963 with a match against Spartak Pleven. Tightening UEFA rules forced a rebuild through the 1990s — the standing terraces and the athletics track both went, and the reopening came on 5 May 1999 against Litex. A new main stand went up between 2013 and 2016, and the pitch itself was relaid in 2007.
The record for a full house dates back further than any of that: 60,000 people packed in twice, first for a Cup Winners' Cup quarter-final against Górnik Zabrze in 1970, then for a league game against Pirin Blagoevgrad in 1973. Between football fixtures, the stadium has hosted Roxette, Sting, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Queen + Adam Lambert.
