Idrettsparken

The ground at Хусабё has been in use longer than most of what stands on it. Эгерсунн council bought the land in 1913; the first matches were played there in May 1924, on gravel. A running track came in 1933, when the club bought neighbouring plots and turned the pitch to a new alignment, and the outline of the present main field — with its first grass — dates from 1939. The war then wrecked much of it.

The rebuilt ground opened in June 1947, with a changing-room block, the first permanent building on the site.

Ahead of Эгерсуннс ИК going up to the Обос-лига, the pitch was relaid as HeroShape 40mm artificial turf with Xtre infill, supplied by Sport Surface AS. The same year the club signed the local construction firm Bertelsen & Garpestad to a ten-year naming deal, which made the official name Б&Г Паркен . The ownership split is worth noting: the commune owns the ground and its infrastructure, the sponsor owns only the name for the length of the contract.

That name has not travelled far. Databases, match reports and people in the town still say Идреттспаркен .
