Egersund and Osane shared the spoils in a 2:2 draw at Egersund Idrettsparken on Saturday, a result that keeps the hosts eighth and drops Osane further into the lower half of the First Division table. K. Haga opened the scoring in the eighth minute, a quick finish that caught Osane on the back foot. To be fair, the visitors had been caught high up the pitch, and when Egersund turned over possession, Haga was simply in the right place. The home side took the lead and looked comfortable enough.
Osane responded before the break. H. Kleppa equalised in the 45th minute plus two, a moment that shifted the mood entirely. By then, the home side had accumulated three yellow cards and seemed to be running out of legs. The second half promised to be interesting.
E. Gronner put Osane ahead in the 69th minute, and for a while it looked like the visitors might take something positive from the trip. But Egersund refused to sit back. H. Hardarson struck in the 90th minute plus two, and the stadium erupted. A derby with no love lost ended in a share.
The statistics tell their own story. Egersund dominated possession at 58 per cent and registered 119 attacks compared to Osane's 73. Yet both teams shot with similar accuracy — six on target against five — and neither could find a winner.
The point keeps Egersund on 27 points, three clear of the relegation zone, while Osane remain 15th with 18 points. For the hosts, it is a chance to build momentum after a heavy defeat to Haugesund on Wednesday. For Osane, another away point is a small comfort.
