Khalij-e Fars Stadium

The grass inside is natural, but the boundary is marked by a low wall that separates the field from the track and then the track from the pavement.

The ground opened in 2010 after a long wait, and since then it has hosted Shahrdari Bandar Abbas and a handful of second-tier visitors. The capacity is often given as 20,000, but on match days the stands rarely fill; the number on some European lists sits at 5,000, which feels closer to what actually turns up when the temperature climbs.

A renovation was promised for 2023 by a local steel firm, money that was supposed to fix the concrete and the seats. It never arrived, or at least not in a form visible to anyone walking the perimeter. The pitch measures 110 by 70 metres, large enough for a proper game, but the boundary is marked by a low wall that separates the field from the track and then the track from the pavement.

There is no official website, no digital presence beyond what football databases carry. The name has not changed since the doors opened, and the ownership sits with the provincial sports authority. The Asian Football Confederation gave the ground a Grade C certification, which means it meets the minimum requirements for regional matches but nothing more.

On weekdays the place is empty, the wind moving through the stands without resistance. On match days the crowd is small, and the players run on a surface that looks acceptable until you watch the ball bounce. The city does not expect much from a stadium that does not host internationals, and the ground does not ask for attention. It simply exists between the boulevard and the sea, waiting for the next fixture.
