Naft Bandar Abbas

Naft Bandar Abbas is playing its first season in the Azadegan League: the club took shape on 26 August 2024 when the Bandar Abbas Oil Refinery Company acquired the league licence of Esteghlal Mollasani, a Khuzestan side that had reached the quarterfinals of the Hazfi Cup in 2022-23 after knocking out Mes Kerman.

The name carries the point directly: locally the side is known as the "Oil Workers of the Port," a nickname chosen to mark it out from Iran's other refinery-backed clubs. Yellow, orange and blue make up the kit, a combination meant to read as both the flare and heat of the oil trade and the sea the city sits on.

Games are shared between the Khalij-e Fars Stadium, listed at 10,000 seats, and the older Takhti Stadium in the city.

Reza Enayati took over as head coach after Abdullah Veisi's short spell in charge at the club's founding, arriving with a coaching record that runs through Nassaji Mazandaran, Esteghlal, and Iran's under-23 side. He is the closest thing the club has to an established name.
