The club itself was raised by oil workers in Gachsaran in 1967. Promotion has come twice through the same route, winning Iran League 2: first in Group A in 2012–13, then in Group B in 2022–23. Between those two climbs there was a drop out of the Azadegan League in 2014–15, and a further relegation in 2020–21 before league restructuring put them back up a tier. The Hazfi Cup has given them one high point, a run to the quarter-finals in 2016–17 that ended against Tractor Sazi.

Few names from the playing side travel far beyond the province, though Saeid Karimi and Younes Delfi both went through the club before representing Iran at Under-17 level.
