Shahin Bandar Ameri

Vahid Rezaei won international caps for Iran as a midfielder before he took charge of a club. Shahin Bandar Ameri took its name, and its start, from the village of Bandar Ameri in Tangestan County, where it was founded in 1977, though under Rezaei it plays out of Bushehr's Shahid Mahdavi Stadium, some way from where it began.

The club barely stayed there. That August, its management sold the Azadegan League licence to Khalij Fars Mahshahr, and Shahin dropped out of the national leagues entirely for a season. It came back only because Khalij Fars Mahshahr failed to meet its financial obligations — Shahin was reinstated mid-season, replacing the club it had sold itself to in Week 14 of 2023–24, before going back down to League 2 at the end of that campaign.

Rezaei's squad, which has taken in players such as Mohammad Khalili since his move from Esteghlal, now shares Bushehr with Pars Jonoubi Jam and Shahin Bushehr, rivals in a derby named for the city rather than for either club. A 1–4 defeat to Persepolis is as far as Shahin has gone in the Hazfi Cup.

The promotion run itself came with an asterisk: in the 2020–21 League 2 season, a match-fixing case cost the club six points.
