Marconi Stadium
Ruben and Provino Sartor, inaugural members of Club Marconi, offered the Bossley Park site for $6,900, and the Italian-Australian club built a home there for its soccer team, the Marconi Stallions.
What stands at the corner of Restwell Road and Marconi Road is smaller than what once stood there. Then came the collapse of the National Soccer League and the Stallions' failure to enter the A-League, and the Eastern stand went unused long enough for foundation problems to be found. It was declared unsafe. In 2018 the seats came out, the foundations were repaired, and the terrace became a grassy hill.
The fullest the place has ever been was in 1993, when 14,220 came to watch Australia's under-20s play Brazil's in a warm-up for the FIFA World Youth Championship. The 1993–94 NSL Cup final, in which Parramatta Eagles beat Sydney United 2–0, drew 4,156.
It has also been a concert venue. Chuck Berry played there in July 1978, and on 1 December 1979 Cold Chisel, Rose Tattoo, The Angels and Icehouse performed there.
Western Sydney Wanderers send their A-League Women and youth sides here. During the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, Colombia trained on the grass.
