Tarczyński Arena Wrocław

The stadium sits away from Wrocław's centre, on Aleja Śląska. The commission was UEFA Euro 2012.

Because the schedule ran to the tournament's clock and not to a season's, the building opened twice. The official opening came on 10 September 2011; the first football match was played there seven weeks later, on 28 October. The design came from JSK Architekci, with Zbigniew Pszczelny and Mariusz Ruc, and the German contractor Max Boegl put it up. The pitch is natural grass with undersoil heating, which is what allows the ground to be used through a Silesian winter.

What it did not have at the start was a name that stuck. It was Stadion Miejski we Wrocławiu from 2011, then Stadion Wrocław from 2017, and only from 25 November 2021 has it carried the sponsor's name it uses now — three names in a decade, for a building that has not otherwise changed much.

The tenant arrived with the building. WKS Śląsk Wrocław have played here since 2011, which means the club has spent its entire modern history in a ground designed around a fortnight of international football rather than around them.
