Horsens beat Næsby 2-3 in the Danish Cup Round of 32 on Tuesday, 16 September 2026. The away side took an early lead through A. Justinussen in the first minute, then held on after a flurry of second-half goals. We had called for a Horsens win beforehand, and the result confirmed that view — though the match itself was far from straightforward.
Justinussen opened the scoring in the first minute, but J. Bonde equalised for Næsby after 41 minutes. The hosts took the lead at 55 minutes through M. Schou Jorgensen, only for Justinussen to restore parity six minutes later. By then the momentum had shifted, and A. Tomaselli's goal in the 75th minute put Horsens ahead for good.
There were plenty of interruptions. Næsby saw O. Kolskogen and J. Bonde booked, while Horsens' A. Kjaergaard and K. Bimpong also went into the referee's book. Substitutions came thick and fast in the second half, with nine changes between the 46th and 86th minutes as both managers tried to regain control.
The statistics tell a flat story. Both sides held 50 per cent possession, and Næsby edged attacks 65 to 61. But many shots with one goal means chances went begging — and the visitors made them count when it mattered. Næsby won seven corners to four, yet could not convert their pressure into a second goal.
Horsens' away victory ends their recent run of inconsistency. They lost 2-0 to Copenhagen on 11 September, but before that had won three in a row including a 5-2 thrashing of Sønderjyske. Næsby, meanwhile, came off a 5-0 win over Munkelbo but cannot afford another slip in domestic competition.
