By then, the visitors had already made a change in the 40th minute, bringing on K. Ascanio for their first substitution. The hosts responded with a goal in the 44th minute through J. Shaw, who finished from close range after sustained pressure. That moment shifted the balance, and the scoreboard stayed level for the rest of the contest.
And here's the thing — the statistics tell a familiar story. Gotham registered 120 attacks compared to San Diego's 84, while their possession sat at 56 per cent.
