Marco Pellegrino

Marco Pellegrino came up through Platense, joining the academy at the age of eight and signing his first professional contract there in November 2021 before making his senior debut in March 2023. Within months he had moved to Europe: on 22 August 2023 AC Milan paid around €3.5 million for the young left-footed player. Milan sent him out on loan twice, first to Salernitana for the second half of the 2023–24 season, then to Independiente in August 2024.

The Independiente loan is the episode people remember for the wrong reasons. A video of Pellegrino at a birthday party on a yacht while the squad was in concentration went viral, and coach Julio Vaccari suspended him. He made just seven appearances there before the loan was cut short in December 2024. A second loan, at Huracán from January 2025, lasted until June 2025.

On 10 June 2025 Pellegrino signed permanently for Boca Juniors for a reported €3.5 million on a four-year contract running to June 2029, with Milan keeping a 20% sell-on clause. At international level he has represented Argentina at Under-23 level, debuting against Venezuela U-23 in October 2023 and later playing 90 minutes in a 4–2 win over Mexico U-23. He was also named in a preliminary senior squad in 2023, though a full senior debut has not followed.
