Mathías Daniel Llontop Díaz

Mathías Llontop made his senior international debut for Peru on 21 December 2025, coming into a friendly against Bolivia that Peru won 2–0. He had already been a fixture for Peru's age-group sides, most notably at the 2019 South American U-17 Championship, where he scored once in nine appearances, before adding a cap for the U-20s and six for the U-23s across 2023 and 2024, including a spell in the South American U-23 Pre-Olympic Tournament.

His club path started at Universidad San Martín de Porres, where he progressed through the reserve side before signing his first professional contract in January 2020 and making his senior debut that year. A 2022 move to Carlos A. Mannucci turned him into a regular starter, and his appearance count climbed steadily over three seasons there, from 16 to 17 and then 30. It was during that spell, in 2023, that he scored a goal against Sporting Cristal that stood out enough to be remembered.

Llontop joined FBC Melgar in January 2025 and featured regularly in the league as well as in continental competition, playing in both the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana that season. In December 2025, Melgar sent him out on loan to Sport Boys for the 2026 campaign, and he has since made his first appearances in the club's colours. A left-back by trade and left-footed, he has built his career on consistent minutes rather than a single defining transfer.
