Renzo Alfani

Renzo Alfani is a centre-back who left Argentina early in his career and has built almost the whole of it in Peru. Born in Rosario, he came through at Rosario Central, made his professional debut there in December 2016 and picked up two winner's medals with the club, the Copa Santa Fe in 2017 and the Copa Argentina in 2018, either side of a loan spell at Villa Dálmine.

The move that reshaped his career came in January 2019, when he signed for Santos FC in Peru's Segunda División on a free transfer. He scored four goals in 22 appearances that season, a return that got him named in the Best XI of Liga 2, a selection made by SAFAP and the portal Dechalaca.com. Promotion to the Peruvian top flight followed with Deportivo Municipal in 2020, then a longer stint at Carlos A. Mannucci that ran until early 2023.

Since then Alfani has moved on free transfers, first to Juan Aurich and then, in February 2024, to Juan Pablo II College. He was a regular over two seasons, and in 2024 helped the club finish as runners-up and win promotion to Liga 1, before making 36 appearances and scoring four goals in 2025. Sport Boys picked him up on another free transfer in January 2026.

He has not been capped by Argentina at any level, senior or youth. His career has instead been built entirely on Peruvian football, club by club, each move arriving without a transfer fee attached.
