Tikvesh HK edged past Эш 33-32 in a European Cup match on Saturday, claiming a hard-fought victory at the opposition's ground. The result came just a day after the hosts had beaten the visitors 30-27, extending the recent head-to-head advantage for Эш until this point. The scoreline reflects a contest decided by fine margins, with both sides trading blows throughout.
Tikvesh HK arrived having lost their previous meeting 27-30, while Эš had built momentum from that win. The visitors showed resilience in bouncing back, finding a way through a stubborn defence that had seen them dominate the earlier encounter. By then, the tie had turned on its head with a single-point victory.
Recent form suggests both teams are competitive in the tournament. Эš had won their last five matches before this defeat, while Tikvesh HK showed mixed results with victories over Бутел and РК Тинекс Пролет Скопье. The draw brought them together early, and the result reshapes expectations for both sides.
The match concludes a brief encounter between these European opponents, with Эš now holding a 2-1 record in their recent meetings. Tikvesh HK will look to build on this away win as they continue their campaign. The result extends Эш's unbeaten run to eight, though this latest outing proved they can no longer take anything for granted.
