Tikvesh HC lost 27:30 to Esch in the European Cup on Friday, 19 September 2026. The away side took control early and held on through a tight finish. By then the visitors had already shown they could match the hosts' intensity.
Esch's run of form continued with this win. They had beaten Standard 32:31 and Diddelange 32:27 in their last two outings before this trip. The consistency was there, even if the margin did not always look comfortable.
Tikvesh brought mixed results into the fixture. A victory over Butel 38:33 stood alongside defeats to Oshrid and Vardar 1961. The home side needed something from this evening but could not find the edge when it mattered.
and here's the thing — the scoreline told the story without needing further explanation. Esch scored three more goals and that was enough. The hosts kept knocking on the door but could not break through.
The result moves Esch closer to their objectives in the competition. Tikvesh now have not won since their last European fixture in May. Three points on the board for the visitors, nothing for the hosts.
