Yellow/Pfaadis Esposu defeated Gossau 26-20 in the Swiss Cup on 7 October 2026. The away side secured the victory in a match that lasted 20 minutes in each half, finishing at 20:26. The result extends Esposu's presence in the competition while Gossau face another defeat.
The final score reflected a comfortable margin for the visitors. By then, Esposu had established control over the game. The result gives them something to build on in their cup campaign.
Gossau's recent record shows inconsistency. They beat Muri 25-26 back in September 2023, but have lost three of their last five matches. Their most recent outing ended 29-35 against Muri on 19 September 2026. To be fair, they did secure a 36-26 win over Flawil in August.
Esposu's form has been mixed too. They lost 27-36 to Visp on 20 September 2026, and 31-23 to St. Gallen in October 2025. On paper, this away win represents a step forward. They have won two of their last five recorded matches.
The victory keeps Esposu in the cup while Gossau's campaign comes to an end. Neither team's position in any table can be determined from the information available. What matters is the result on the day: 26-20 to the visitors.
