A. Rojas

Álvaro Rojas is a product of the Universitario de Deportes academy, where he began his senior career in 2023. That loan spell came in 2025, at ADC Juan Pablo II College, where the central midfielder settled into a regular starting role and finished the campaign with four goals and two assists from around thirty appearances.

In January 2026, Universitario loaned him again, this time to Cienciano for the remainder of the season.

Rojas is right-footed and has already had a taste of representative football, with five caps for Peru's U20 side and three more at U23 level. The senior national team has not called on him yet, but the age-group involvement suggests he is on the federation's radar as part of the generation coming through behind Peru's current squad.

At Cienciano, he arrives as project a still very much in progress: a 21-year-old midfielder whose reputation so far rests on a productive loan year rather than on first-team standing at his parent club.
