About the player
Carlos Franco came through Cerro Porteño's youth academy, working his way up through the U17 ranks before making his senior debut in 2025. He has not played for any other senior club, including appearances for the club's reserve side in the Copa de Primera across 2025 and 2026.
Franco's play with his right foot has already earned him recognition at international level. He was part of Paraguay's U17 squad in 2025, appearing in the South American U17 Championship and the FIFA U-17 World Cup, and totalled twelve caps for the youth national team over the year.
At club level, Franco was included in the Cerro Porteño squad that won the Supercopa Paraguay in December 2025, making one appearance in the competition.
Franco was born in Barcelona, though he holds Paraguayan nationality and has represented Paraguay at youth international level throughout his career so far.
