Christian Bravo

Christian Bravo did not wait long for his chance at Huachipato. Born in Talcahuano, he came up through the club's youth academy and made his senior debut in September 2025, in a Primera División match against Cobresal that Huachipato lost 3–2 under coach Jaime García. He was on the losing side that day, but the door had opened.

He pushed through it in 2026, when injuries to first-choice goalkeepers Rodrigo Odriozola and Sebastián Mella left him as Huachipato's starting keeper. The clearest sign of how quickly he had settled into the role came in April 2026, when he was named man of the match in a goalless draw away to league leaders Colo-Colo. He had also been part of the squad that won the Copa Chile in 2025, beating Deportes Limache on penalties after a 1–1 draw, though Odriozola started that final and Bravo watched from the bench.

Bravo's rise had already been tracked at international level. He represented Chile at under-17 level between 2022 and 2025, and in September 2026 he received his first call-up to the senior national team, named alongside goalkeepers Lawrence Vigouroux and Brayan Cortés for friendlies against Canada, the United States and Mexico. He has yet to make his senior international debut.

At Huachipato, Bravo plays right-footed and stands 1.88 m tall. His trajectory over the past year has been one of a young goalkeeper handed an opportunity by circumstance and holding onto it through performance.
