Elvis Hernández Huenten

Elvis Hernández Huenten grew up in the Argentine game. Born in Neuquén, he holds dual Argentine and Chilean nationality. He started out at Club Atlético Maronese before joining Cipolletti's youth ranks in 2017, signing his first professional contract there in 2019. He made 97 appearances and scored twice for Cipolletti, with two loan spells along the way: one at Unión La Calera in 2020, where he did not feature in a match, and another at Club Atlético 9 de Julio in 2022, where he played seven times.

In January 2024, Hernández signed for Coquimbo Unido on a free transfer. By April 2024 he had made nine appearances for the club, establishing himself as part of the squad. Coquimbo Unido won the Chilean Primera División title in 2025, beating Unión La Calera — the same club where Hernández had once spent a loan spell without playing a single game. He added a second trophy in 2026, lifting the Supercopa de Chile after Coquimbo Unido defeated Universidad Católica on penalties.

Despite being eligible for both Argentina and Chile, Hernández has not been capped at senior international level by either country.
