About the player
Known as Jajá, he came up through the youth ranks at Goytacaz and Boavista, then spent his early senior years shuttling between loan spells at Aparecida, Criciúma and XV de Piracicaba. It was at Sampaio Corrêa, on loan in 2021, that he picked up his first piece of silverware, helping the side to the Campeonato Maranhense title.
From there his path turned international. A move to FC Botoșani took him into Romanian football, followed by a spell in the United Arab Emirates with Al-Nasr Dubai and then Dibba Al Fujairah. In 2023 he joined FC Tokyo in Japan's J1 League, later going out on loan to Sagan Tosu.
He returned home to Brazil in 2025 with Portuguesa, where he scored three goals in nine appearances. Portuguesa kept a 40% stake in his economic rights as part of the deal. At Goiás he scored five goals in 42 appearances and was part of the squad that won the Campeonato Goiano in 2026.
He has since joined Remo, for whom he has made six appearances and scored once in the Brazilian Série A.
