Marlon Medranda

Marlon Medranda began his professional career at Orense SC, making his debut in 2018 while the club played in the Serie B, and he was part of the squad that won the Serie B title the following year to earn promotion to the top flight. A loan spell took him to Gualaceo SC in 2021 before he returned to Orense, where he made just one appearance in early 2022 ahead of a fresh loan move to Técnico Universitario that summer. That switch became permanent in January 2023, and at Técnico Universitario he was handed the captain's armband, a role he held through the 2025 season.

Medranda came with Ecuador's under-20 side, with whom he won the South American Championship in Chile in 2019 after Venezuela were beaten 3-0 in the final. He started the opening match of that tournament, a win over Argentina, and came off the bench in the goalless draw with Brazil during the final hexagonal stage, finishing the campaign with two appearances. In total he collected five caps at U-20 level, though a call-up to Ecuador's senior side has not followed.

He joined Macará on a free transfer.
