About the player
Silas Andersen came through the youth ranks at Sundby BK before FC Copenhagen brought him into their academy, and by 2021 Inter Milan had signed him. The move to the Netherlands in 2023, on a free transfer, put him between Jong FC Utrecht and the senior side, though senior football came sparingly — two appearances for Utrecht's first team over two seasons.
The breakthrough came at BK Häcken. Signed on a free deal in January 2025, Andersen became part of a squad that won the 2024–25 Svenska Cupen, and he was the one who stepped up to take the decisive penalty in the shootout against Malmö FF.
Sporting CP signed him in June 2026 for a fee of €10 million, split between an initial €7.25 million and €2.75 million in add-ons.
Andersen has represented Denmark, though no individual honours such as Player of the Year or a top-scorer title feature on his record.
