The Pabellón Príncipe de Asturias holds 2,800 people, and that is where BM Villa de Aranda has built whatever it has built since the players of the old, collapsed Balonmano Aranda decided to start again on their own terms. They did that on 11 April 2000, setting up a new legal entity rather than reviving the previous one, and they picked yellow for the shirt as a nod to CD Bidasoa Irún, with blue kept for the shorts.

Sponsors have rewritten the name on the front of that shirt more than once — Weimar, Artepref, Bayo, Top Ribera, Blasgon, Bodegas Ceres, and now Tubos Aranda — but the club underneath has climbed steadily: promotion to Primera División Nacional in 2001, up again to División de Honor B in 2003, and finally into the top flight, Liga ASOBAL, in 2012. That first season at the top began with a win, 30-28 against Valladolid, a result that mattered more than a normal opener because Valladolid — now Recoletas Atlético Valladolid — is the club's oldest and sharpest rival, and their meetings are still called the derbi de Castilla y León. Villa de Aranda has never taken the Liga ASOBAL title itself, and the closest it came to a major honour remains the Segunda División Nacional CyL won in its first year, 2000-01. Twice, in 2012 and again in 2016, the club needed its own players to put money in just to keep it running.

The academy is where the club now points when asked what it has to show for itself: Hugo Esteban and David Tobes were called into national youth training camps in 2022, and Marcos González, who came up through that same cantera, went out and then came back in 2021. Javi Márquez runs the side from the bench, but the name people in Aranda de Duero bring up first is Arthur Pereira, voted the league's player of the month in November 2024.
