Barcelona

Nikola Karabatić wore Barça's blue and garnet during the years the club treated the EHF Champions League final almost as an annual fixture, and by the time the trophy was lifted again in 2026, the tally had reached thirteen — more than any other side in the competition's history.

At home the dominance has been near total. Barça have taken the Liga ASOBAL title thirty-three times, and for long stretches the table has settled into a familiar shape well before the final round. The one side capable of disturbing that pattern in recent decades was BM Ciudad Real, whose challenge through the 2000s produced some of the sharpest title races the league has seen; more regularly it is BM Granollers who supply the needle, in a fixture still known locally as the Derbi Català.

The academy has not been a mere feeder system either — Aleix Gómez and Ian Barrufet both came through it before establishing themselves in the first team, a pipeline that has let the club refresh a squad now built around Dika Mem and Ludovic Fabregas without breaking stride. The Copa del Rey has followed the same pattern as the league, with thirty wins, and Barça have added the Copa ASOBAL and the Supercopa de España often enough that a season without a trophy has become the exception rather than the rule.

Thirteen European titles, and counting.
