The Rapid-Giulești Stadium belongs to the men's side first, a ground the women's team has taken on rather than built for itself. Games are still filed under the same crest, same colours, same club that has carried the white and burgundy through Bucharest for over a century — the women's section runs as a branch of that, without its own badge or its own site, its results posted in a corner of fcrapid.ro marked simply "Feminin".

What the section has instead is momentum. Liga 2 Feminin, the second tier, is where the squad spent last season, finishing second in its group behind a promotion push built partly on new arrivals — among them Myanmar international Galau Bawm Lung, brought in alongside a run of fresh signings ahead of the campaign. By the following season the team was already listed in the SuperLiga Feminină, the top flight, facing sides such as Farul Constanța and Olimpia Cluj rather than chasing them from below. Olimpia UT Cluj, along with Clujana Cluj, has held the league's honours for years, and Rapid has yet to trouble that record with a title of its own.

Captain Nicoleta Bărbos leads a group that head coach Speranța Popescu has shaped through the climb, with Maria Ivan among the names carried over from the promotion side into the first-division fixtures. Bucharest still supplies the sharper storylines off the pitch — FCSB and Dinamo remain the city's old antagonists for the men's team — but for the women's section the more immediate business has been arriving in a division where those derbies are even possible. For now, that business is conducted at Giulești, on the same turf, under the same lights, as the men's side that gave the shirt its colours.
