Vasas Femina go into the current campaign back where they spent most of the last decade, in Superliga Feminină, after taking the second-tier title in 2023–24 and returning to the top flight under Attila Vágó. Vágó took over in January 2020 and has kept the job since. The team has yet to win the league itself; the closest it came was finishing runner-up in 2017–18, behind Universitatea Olimpia Cluj, and it has stayed in touch with the top four in the seasons since.

The one trophy that does sit at the club is the Cupa României, claimed in 2019 with a 5–0 win over Fortuna Becicherecu Mic in the final in Târgu Mureș. Carolina Țabur scored a hat-trick that afternoon, with Rita Mitri and Krisztina Benő adding the others, and Alexandru Andrași, Vágó's predecessor on the bench, was the coach who took the team there.

Beyond the first team, the academy has produced its own silverware, with the under-15 side winning the national youth championship under János Székely, and its own players — Linda Kajtár went on to captain Romania's senior national side.

Vasas Femina take their name from Budapest's Vasas SC, though the Odorheiu Secuiesc club has always run as its own entity, founded on 18 July 2012 in Harghita County.
