HK Hodonin Women

The 2019/20 Czech Cup final ended 34–21 to DHK Zora Olomouc. It remains the furthest HK Hodonín's women have gone in the competition, and they have never won the cup or the MOL Liga, the Czech-Slovak league in which they now play. A club founded in 2006 in a town of Hodonín's size reached a national final within 14 years, and the score showed how far it still had to go.

The following season the team reached the second round of the Women's EHF Challenge Cup, in 2021/22. That is as far as the European record goes.

The league has been harder. Hodonín finished 12th, last, in the MOL Liga in both 2023/24 and 2024/25. For 2025/26 the club brought in Alžbeta "Bebe" Tóthová as head coach. She is a former Slovak international and follows Milan Adi and Pavel Franko. The squad she inherited has a clear core. Captain Laura Víchová, a left winger, was named the best sportswoman of the Hodonín district in 2025. Laura Kitti Beke, a centre back and Slovak junior international, was the team's top scorer this season.

The club also produces its own players. Goalkeeper Denisa Rafajová came through the academy before moving to Austria. Berenika Hasíková, another academy graduate, plays for the senior side and coaches the youth teams. The hall on Lipová alej holds 500, and the rivalries that matter are with HC Zlín and DHK Baník Most.

The most productive player of recent years has left. Veronika Štipčáková scored 274 goals in 66 matches for Hodonín. In 2026 she moved to DHK Zora Olomouc, the side that beat the club in that cup final.
