The Hala Widowiskowo-Sportowa named after Władysław Piechota sits on Kilińskiego Street. The section grew out of the factory's sports club, founded in 1934.

In 1970 and again in 1971 the Krapkowice women took the Polish championship, then followed it with two runner-up finishes, in 1972 and 1973. Barbara Jeż-Klose played through that run, earning 82 caps for Poland; she is now better known as the mother of the footballer Miroslav Klose, though at the time it was her own game that carried the team.

The nickname from that era, Silver Lionesses, stayed with the club through white and green as its colours, even as the structure around it did not. Competitive records for the modern club only start from 2011, and the football side went through its own reactivation around 2017-2018.

Krapkowice now play in the second-tier I Liga and the Polish Cup.
