Tyresöhallen holds 800. The hall belongs to Tyresö Municipality, and it is where both the men's and women's sides of Tyresö Handboll now play after years in which the town's handball was split across three separate clubs.

That split ended on 11 November 2011, when Tyresö IF, HK Tyrold and Tyresö HF merged into one organisation carrying colours already familiar in the town: the red and yellow inherited from Tyresö IF. Between 1987 and 1989 it won three straight Swedish Championships, adding Swedish Cup titles in 1986, 1987 and 1989, and lost the 1986 final to Irsta HF Västerås. That squad, built around players such as Mia Hermansson-Högdahl and Britt Forsell, is remembered as the club's golden generation.

The men's team, meanwhile, spent most of the post-merger years in the lower divisions before working back to the Allsvenskan for 2024/25, sitting third after eighteen rounds under coach Mattias Bejbom.
