Iğdır Belediyespor claimed a 4-2 victory over Manisa in the fifth round of the 1. Lig on Wednesday evening. The hosts moved into 11th place with six points from four matches, while Manisa climbed to seventh with eight points after their second draw of the campaign.
Loic Kouagba struck twice in quick succession, opening the scoring in the ninth minute before adding his second just a minute later. Alim Öztürk responded with a penalty for Manisa in the sixteenth, and Felix Ohene Afena-Gyan restored the lead before the break with a twenty-fifth-minute goal.
Julien Anziani levelled for the visitors on the stroke of half-time with a penalty of his own. The game shifted again after the interval when Afena-Gyan netted his second in the sixty-fifth minute, and Yusuf Talum added a late eighthy-ninth-minute goal to secure the three points for Iğdır.
Iğdır dominated possession at 53 per cent and registered 89 attacks compared to Manisa's 62. The hosts registered six shots on target from thirteen attempts inside the box, while Manisa achieved higher accuracy at 50 per cent with six shots on target from eight inside the penalty area. Both sides collected three yellow cards.
The result leaves Iğdır four points from the top half after a run that included a win over Erokspor and defeats to Kayserispor and Bursaspor. Manisa's draw at Bodrumspor earlier this month ends a sequence of results that saw them beat Van BB 4-1 and defeat Boluspor 2-1 in August.
