Ankara Aktepe Stadyumu holds 4,883 people. Keçiörengücü play there because the ground sits in Keçiören itself, whose municipality took the club in hand in 1988 and put its name on the shirt.
Before that the club had been Hacettepe Gençlik Kulübü, founded in 1945 and given a professional side ten years later. Those first professional teams won the Ankara league three times inside five seasons — 1954, 1956 and 1958.
The 1988 renaming did not settle cleanly. A court ruling moved the club to Hacettepe Camuzoğlu for a period, and it took a general meeting, with the members voting unanimously, to bring Keçiörengücü back. The first of three titles at that level came in 1989; the others came in 2006 and 2014.
The climb that mattered most arrived in 2019, when the club won the 2. Lig and reached the second tier for the first time. In 2020 Ankara was added to the name, so the club now carries the city's name into fixtures against MKE Ankaragücü, Gençlerbirliği, Ankaraspor and Osmanlıspor — derbies in which the table tends to go out of the window.
