Kiekko-Pojat Joensuu — KeuPa: 3:2, Mestis

Kiekko-Pajat Joensuu secured a 3:2 victory over KeuPa in their Mestis fixture on Thursday evening. The home side took all three points in a match that remained competitive throughout.

Joensuu extended their unbeaten run to two games following the defeat to RoKi Rovaniemi earlier in the week. KeuPa's recent form showed mixed results, including a heavy 1:6 loss to IPK, before this effort against their opponents.

Both clubs sit near the bottom of the table after eight rounds. Joensuu occupy ninth place while KeuPa are seventh, though the points total tells only part of the story at this stage of the season.

The result means KeuPa have not won since their match against Ketterä back in September. Joensuu, meanwhile, found a way back into winning ways after losses to K-Vantaa and Ketterä.

With both teams yet to collect any points, this was a chance to build momentum. Joensuu held on grimly to secure the win, while KeuPa will be looking for improvement in their next fixture.
