Kettera — RoKi Rovaniemi, Mestis

Rocky Rovaniemi claimed a 1-0 victory over Ketterä in the Mestis on Friday evening. The result leaves the visitors fourteenth in the standings while the hosts remain ninth. Both sides have yet to accumulate a single point in the new campaign.

Rocky Rovaniemi sit fourth with seven matches under their belt and five wins. Ketterä have played eight games, drawn nothing and lost six. The gap between them is not just in the table but in consistency.

The visitors arrived with momentum. They beat K-Valinta 4-1 on Tuesday and saw off Kiekko-Pojat Jyväskylä 4-3 three days earlier. Ketterä's recent run tells a different story. They lost 3-1 to Pyry Nokian and were beaten 5-2 by KeuPa.

We had backed the home side at 48 per cent confidence. And here's the thing — the visitors simply outworked them. Ketterä never really got going, and by then it was too late to claw back.

The scoreline reflects a tight contest. One goal separated two sides that traded chances but neither could find a breakthrough. Rocky Rovaniemi extended their unbeaten run to four matches.
