RoKi Rovaniemi U20

RoKi's Under-20 side plays in the U20 SM-sarja, the top tier of Finnish junior hockey, a level it reached for the 2023-24 season after winning the U20 SM-karsintasarja promotion playoffs in the spring of 2022. Before that, the team had spent its seasons in the U20 Mestis, the second tier of junior hockey in Finland.

The promotion fell in the same span as the senior side's run to the bronze medal game in the Mestis playoffs, in both 2022 and 2023.

Vili Saarijärvi started out at RoKi before moving into Kärpät's junior system and going on to play in the Liiga for both Kärpät and Lukko. Joonas Alanne, a Rovaniemi native, worked his way through the same junior levels and later reached the Liiga with Pelicans. Tuomas Salmela made his own Liiga debut on loan from RoKi to JYP.

RoKi's biggest rival is Kajaanin Hokki, and games between the two are known as the Lapland derby. The junior and senior teams both play out of Lappi Areena, which holds 3,500 for hockey.

The junior side carries the parent club's colours, blue, yellow and white, and its nickname, Näkymättömät — the Invisible Ones. That club, Rovaniemen Kiekko, was founded in 1979 in Rovaniemi, in Lapland.
