TPS U20

Turku's junior hockey pipeline runs through the same club that fields the men's side, TPS, and the U20 group carries a name of its own, Kiekko-Turku, set up in 1937 when the parent sports society, founded in 1922, expanded into hockey. The team plays in the U20 SM-sarja, the top junior tier in Finland, and works out of the Gatorade Center.

Four national junior titles sit on the record — 1969, 1992, 1998 and 2015 — and more recently the club has finished as runner-up, in 2023-24 and again the following season. Mikko Rantanen came through the side between 2012 and 2015, before the last of those championships.

Across town, TUTO Hockey supplies the closest thing to a local grudge match, played out as the Turku derby; Tappara is treated as the sterner test.

Four championships in over a century of hockey at the club.
