TUTTO saw out a tight contest against Hermes, winning 3:2 in the Mestis on Friday evening. The hosts had been in good form, winning their last three, and Hermes had shown vulnerability away from home. The result keeps TUTTO in third place and moves Hermes further down the table.
By then, the game had settled into a pattern where neither side could break through. TUTTO kept their heads when pressure came, while Hermes struggled to find an equaliser after going behind. The home side controlled the tempo without dominating possession, picking up the win through patience rather than flair.
And here's the thing — I had called for a TUTTO win at 57% confidence before kick-off. To be fair, the logic was simple: Hermes had dropped points in their last two games against K-Vantaa, while TUTTO had won six of eight. The gap in confidence showed in the final result.
Hermes will look at this and see another loss to add to their six in nine games. They had beaten Pyry Nokian 5:2 and IPK 3:2 a couple of weeks ago, but consistency has eluded them since. TUTTO, meanwhile, extend their unbeaten run and keep pressure on the teams above them.
The scoreline doesn't capture how close it was. Three goals between them, two different scorers each, and plenty of chances at both ends. TUTTO saw it out, Hermes couldn't find a way back. Simple as that.
