Match report
TILBURG TRAPPERS defeated ROSTOCK 6:3 in the Oberliga North on 9 October. The hosts extended their unbeaten run to six matches. By then the dominance at the top was becoming clearer.
TILBURG TRAPPERS sit first with six wins from six games. ROSTOCK occupy fifth place after three defeats from six outings. To be fair, the visitors had secured three victories earlier in the campaign.
The hosts entered this fixture following a 6:5 win over LEIPZIG. Prior to that they had won four straight against NEUWIED, DUISBURG, HANNOVER and HALLE. That sequence showed their consistency.
ROSTOCK's recent results tell a mixed picture. They lost 3:4 to NEUWIED and 4:5 to HAMMER EISBÄREN in their last two outings. And here's the thing — the inconsistency is becoming costly.
The six-goal margin leaves ROSTOCK further from the summit. TILBURG TRAPPERS remain the only side with a perfect record. The gap between the top and middle is now significant.
