Rostock — Halle: 3:4, Oberliga Nord

Rostock and Halle played out a 3:4 scoreline in Oberliga North on 11 October 2026. The visitors took all three points from the contest, extending their winning streak to four games while Rostock's run of defeats continued.

Both sides have been involved in some lively encounters lately. Rostock lost 3:6 to Tilburg Trappers on 9 October and had seen 3:4 against Neuwied four days earlier. Halle's recent form reads similarly — a 5:3 victory over Herford, then a heavy 2:7 defeat to Tilburg Trappers before that.

And here's the thing: we had backed the hosts at 45 per cent confidence. The match went another way entirely. It was not one of those games where momentum shifts gradually; the visitors found their rhythm early and did not look back.

By then the pattern was clear. Both teams come from matches where goals flow freely. Rostock's last five outings produced 19 goals scored and 24 conceded. Halle's tally sits at 19 scored and 23 conceded across the same span.

The table situation is still forming. Both sides sit on 0 points after seven games, which tells you nothing about where this season might head. What does matter is that Halle now hold a two-place advantage at fifth, while Rostock remain eighth.
