Spartak beat CSKA 3:2 in the Moscow derby at CSKA's rink, taking their first win in two games this KHL season.

Ilya Kotlyarov opened the scoring on 15 minutes. Kristian Jaroš made it 2:1 on 23 minutes and Maxim Comtois settled it on 56 minutes. CSKA had led through Dmitri Buchelnikov on nine minutes before Maxim Sorkin drew them level on 36.

For CSKA it was their first game of the new KHL campaign.

The match fell on the fifteenth anniversary of the Yaroslavl air disaster, in which Lokomotiv's players, coaching staff and club employees were killed. Both sides wore black ribbons on their shirts, and a minute's silence was held before the game.
