Yegor Sokolov Joins Ak Bars After Same-Day Trade

Traded from Torpedo to Dinamo Minsk and immediately on to Ak Bars, Sokolov says he'll keep playing his net-front, puck-battling style in Kazan.

Yegor Sokolov has completed a same-day double move, sent from Torpedo to Dinamo Minsk before Ak Bars picked him up from the Belarusian side.

The Forward, who spent last season scoring most of his goals from in tight, says he expects to play the same role in Kazan.

Ak Bars reached the KHL final last season, and Sokolov points to that as the standard he is joining. He has also been in touch with Grigori Denisenko, a former junior-league linemate now at the club, ahead of his first appearance in Kazan colours.
